Dubai Marina – Our client is looking for a Special Needs / Special Education Nanny for a 6-year-old boy. The boy faces some challenges primarily with his speech, language, and social interactions. The ideal candidate for this role will be compassionate and understanding, capable of recognising the causes of his frustrations and who can work with him to make him feel secure, understood and encourage his development. While a background in special needs, teaching, or as a learning assistant would be very beneficial, more critical is a solid grasp of child development, patience and empathy. He is loving and kind, with a passion for music and swimming.

School hours are from 8am to 1pm, and the nanny will be required to accompany him to some classes – though there will be opportunities for downtime once a good routine is established. The nanny should be focused on understanding his academic routine and requirements, ensuring that he receives consistent support both in school and at home. Collaboration is a crucial aspect of this role, the nanny will need to work closely with the school staff and external therapists to implement their strategies and recommendations, ensuring the boy experiences a cohesive support system that is consistent across the board.
