British-Indian family in Dubai is seeking a dedicated and inspiring Governess to support their two sons, aged 6 and 8. Both children attend a leading British curriculum school and enjoy a busy schedule of academics and extracurricular activities. The family values education, curiosity, and personal growth, and they are looking for a Governess who can nurture these qualities.
Responsibilities
Supervise homework, reinforce classroom learning, and provide tailored tutoring aligned with the British curriculum.
Organise and accompany the children to extracurricular activities, as well as plan cultural trips, educational outings, and creative projects.
Arrange and supervise playdates, nurture friendships, and guide the boys in etiquette, manners, and social development.
Teach real-world knowledge in age-appropriate ways, fostering curiosity and global awareness.
Encourage articulate self-expression, critical thinking, and confidence.
Supervise swimming, pool, and beach activities (confident swimming skills required).
Travel domestically and internationally with the family when required.
Liaise with parents, school staff, and activity providers (family driver available to support with transport).
Candidate Profile
Native or near-native English speaker; articulate, polished, and professional.
Degree in Education, Child Development, or related field (preferred).
3–5 years’ experience as a Governess, Tutor, or Teacher (British curriculum experience essential).
Energetic, creative, organised, and culturally aware.
Warm, nurturing, and patient, while maintaining structure and high standards.
Confident swimmer.
Flexible to work in either a live-in or live-out arrangement.
