We are in search of a native English-speaking governess to join a prominent Qatari family with six children ranging in age from 2 to 13 years old, all attending British schools. The household is fully staffed, with other nannies already in place. The position requires 12-hour shifts, six days a week, with an immediate start date. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. The children in the family are not achieving the expected grades in school, prompting the parents to seek someone who can enhance their overall academic performance. The ideal candidate should be proficient in English, well-versed in the British educational system and teaching methodologies. Additionally, the mother expects the governess to facilitate communication with the school and oversee the children’s homework. The governess should be capable of establishing a structured approach to foster the children’s independence while being readily available for assistance when necessary. The primary objective is to fill the educational gaps, enabling the children to manage their schoolwork autonomously. Regarding the youngest child, who will commence nursery in September, the mother requests the governess to devise a schedule and assist with activities promoting letter and number recognition, as well as fine motor skills development. Furthermore, the governess should encourage a balanced schedule that prioritizes engaging activities like sports, building with Legos, and conducting science experiments, rather than excessive use of electronic devices. While being originally Arab or Muslim is not a prerequisite, it would be advantageous. Additionally, bilingualism, especially proficiency in French for communication with the younger children, would be highly desirable. As part of her package, the nanny will be provided with a comfortable separate room, flight tickets, and daily meals.
