A distinguished family based in Doha, Qatar is seeking an experienced and qualified live-in nanny to care for their 2-year-old child. The family is looking for a native English speaker who can naturally support language development while providing a nurturing and educational environment.
Working within a fully staffed household, the nanny will focus primarily on the child’s development, daily routines, and overall wellbeing. Responsibilities include planning stimulating age-appropriate activities, encouraging socialisation, supporting key developmental milestones, accompanying nursery routines and outings, and helping to instill good manners, confidence, and age-appropriate etiquette. Occasional proxy parenting will be required, making this role well-suited to a confident and highly professional childcare practitioner who can take initiative when needed.
Requirements:
Native English speaker with excellent communication skills
Recognised childcare qualification (Norland, NNEB, CACHE Level 3, or equivalent)
Proven experience caring for toddlers in private households
Strong knowledge of early years development and developmental milestones
Experience planning educational, stimulating, and age-appropriate activities
Confident supporting language development, social skills, and positive behaviour
Comfortable with occasional proxy parenting responsibilities
Professional, discreet, and able to work within a fully staffed household
Organised, proactive, and capable of working independently
Excellent references and a long-term commitment preferred
The position offers comfortable live-in accommodation and a supportive working environment with plenty of household assistance available. The schedule is Sunday through Thursday, up to 10 hours per day. The family is seeking a long-term nanny who can provide consistency, warmth, and expert childcare. Compensation is offered at up to £1,300 per week tax-free, depending on experience and qualifications.
