A family located in Oxfordshire who’s current nanny is sadly leaving due to a career change are looking for a proactive person to join them who can use their own initiative.
Both parents have extremely busy jobs and dad currently spending time between Singapore and England, so the suitable candidate must be flexible and reliable. When dad is in the UK there will also be the opportunity to finish earlier in the evenings.
The suitable candidate would be someone who has good experience working in a similar position, able to form good relationships with children and have a firm but fair approach with children.
Accommodation: Separate studio apartment (open to a small pet for the right candidate)
General duties:
Getting the children up and ready for school
Breakfast and school drop offs and pick ups
Supervising with homework and offering support
Bath and bedtime routine
Researching clubs for the kids for holidays and different activities
Taking the children to playdates and on outings in the school holiday
Shopping for the children – uniform, presents etc
Prepare children’s bags and have their uniforms and kits ready
Booking appointments for the children/family
Booking restaurants, hotels and tickets
Paying household bills
Researching on the internet for the family
Car maintenance – booking MOT’s etc
Liaising with mums PA – matching up diaries
Liaising with the children’s school
Liaising with contractors, gardener and housekeeper
Babysitting/ proxy parenting – 1 or 2 times a week
Housekeeping in relation to the children when required
Cooking meals for the children – family style and also extra for the parents a couple of times a week
Shopping for groceries and household items
Travelling with the family 2 to 4 times a year
Candidate requirements:
Must be a driver – car provided
Fluent English speaker – holding strong communication skills
Someone who is loving and enjoys working with children but can be firm but fair
Strong technology skills
Ability to support children with homework
Wants to get stuck in with the family and grow with them
The family require someone who is on the ball, assertive and confident
