We are seeking an experienced, warm, and highly professional Maternity Nurse to support a family based in Copenhagen. The ideal candidate will provide expert postnatal care, guidance, and hands-on support to parents and their newborn during the early months. This role requires a calm, confident approach, extensive newborn knowledge, and the ability to work in close collaboration with the family.
Key Responsibilities

Provide full newborn care, including feeding support, settling, bathing, changing, and establishing healthy sleep routines.

Monitor the baby’s physical and emotional well-being, including tracking feeding, sleep, and developmental milestones.

Support parents with postnatal guidance, breastfeeding assistance, and education on newborn care.

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for the baby.

Work collaboratively with the family, respecting their routines, preferences, and parenting style.

Offer night support and troubleshooting for any newborn-related concerns.

Ensure confidentiality and discretion at all times.
Requirements

Certified and experienced Maternity Nurse or equivalent qualification (e.g., MNT, NEST, NQN, Postnatal Doula with newborn expertise).

Minimum 3–5 years of experience caring for newborns in private homes.

Strong knowledge of newborn development, feeding methods, sleep strategies, and postnatal recovery.

Excellent communication skills and a supportive, respectful manner.

Ability to work a demanding 24/6 schedule for the duration of the contract.

Up-to-date first aid and infant CPR certification.

Previous experience working in international households is a plus.

Fluency in English; Danish is an advantage but not required.
