Beautiful family of 4 in Coconut Grove are looking for a wonderful, kind, long term Nanny to care for their 2 children. The children are currently 1 month old, and 2yrs 3 months – the family has a Baby Nurse who will be with them until the infant is 4 months.

The ideal candidate will have experience caring for 2 children, with specific experience with infants and toddlers. You will be looking for your next long term role and will have longevity in your previous roles.

You will be a Nanny who enjoys working alongside the parents in your role.

Mom works from home, with travel 2 – 3 times per month.

The family will be relocating (2 buildings away) at the end of the year.

The Nanny will be responsible for all child related duties – diapering and toilet training, cleaning as it relates to the children, keeping bedrooms & play areas tidy, and toys sanitized, bath time, nap time, child related laundry, planning fun and developmentally appropriate activities and outings, driving the children (in the provided family vehicle), cooking healthy meals for the children, and feeding (including transitioning to solids, using puree’s). Additionally, you will teach the Children to speak Spanish and primarily converse with them in Spanish (the parents are non-Spanish speaking so excellent English communication is a must)

There is no screen use for the children.

The 2 year old attends school from 9am – 12pm, and will attend camp in the Summer from 9am – 12:30pm.
Next school year, the school days will be longer (approx. 3pm)
Activities include soccer, swim lessons with an instructor twice or three times per week, after school reading program, art and music classes, and gymnastics.

 

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8am – 6pm (50hrs per week) with some flexibility for evenings/ weekends/ overnights as needed.

Travel: Summer in The Hamptons for 2-3 months. 2023 summer travel will be June 15th – September 5th)

Requirements:

Strong background working with infants and toddlers.
Enjoy being active with the children – for example, the 2yo enjoys playing soccer!
Creative in day-to-day activities, with a developmental focus appropriate to age and milestones – arts and crafts, educational games, suggestions of toys and outings
Be a great swimmer – you are not required to swim with the children, but there is a pool at both homes so you MUST be able to jump right in
Exemplary driving record
Able to travel for summer (Hamptons), and open to other travel as required (international would be a bonus!)
Excellent English
Strong Spanish – you will teach the children Spanish, and primarily converse with them in Spanish.
Must be up to date on all vaccinations (COVID including Boosters, TDAP with proof of immunization, annual flu shot)
Current CPR/ First Aid
Non-smoker
Must have own reliable transportation to/from work
Verifiable references, including most recent position
Further education with focus on Early Childhood Education and Development would be a bonus, but is not a requirement of this role.

Compensation:

Salary starting at $25 per hour, BOE

Monthly stipend for health insurance

2 weeks PTO
