A Senior, Professional and loving Nanny/Governess is required for two children, girls aged three years and one year. This position is a sole charge. A car driver is essential, and a vehicle is available for nursery duties and preparatory school drop-off and collection. The family enjoy travelling; the nanny would be expected to accompany the family in the USA, Europe, Asia, and the UK. The family home is in Greater London, where extended family members live nearby. The family ideally are looking to employ a Norlander or a Senior Nanny/Governess with a minimum of 8 years of experience.
The eldest child is due to attend the local Montessori Preschool this summer. This will be her first early years’ foundation within a formal setting, focusing on personal, social, and emotional development, communication and language development, creative development, critical thinking, play and exploration. Her younger sister will enrol at the same Montessori preschool age at two years old.
The eldest child will take her 4+ entry assessment at the beginning of October 2023 to join a local independent Preparatory school. Therefore, the focus on tutoring the child to prepare for this assessment is critical following the British Educational system, and experience in the preparation and support in the following areas is vital.

The preschool years follow the Phonics Programme and the Oxford Reading Tree, which is supported by many well-known reading schemes to The Phonics reading development reading skills should form an essential part of your daily routine at home with both children.
They love to paint, swim, and enjoy playdates and activities. The family are seeking a long-term, fun, energetic, initiative-taking, and focussed Senior Nanny/Governess that has a passion for child development and knowledge of developmental milestones, who can follow the family’s routine and who is very organised with excellent communication skills as they will be required to take on all aspects of the children’s administration and communication with the school, medical appointments, parents of friendship groups and extended family members.
The ideal candidate would be approachable, fun, physically fit, participate in bike rides, park and woodland walks, swim, and encourage extracurricular activities, dance, drama, gymnastics, soft play, creative arts, music. The candidate must possess a solid background in the British independent school curriculum.
It would be advantageous if the Nanny/Governess were fluent in a second language, French or Spanish.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing standards and encourage boundaries and manners with the children, take charge for all tutoring in preparation for 4+ assessments and a good cook who prepares and provides healthy balanced meals. The senior nanny/governess would be expected to do the school drop-offs, pick-ups, after-school activities, and classes. Be creative with the children whilst stimulating them socially, physically, and educationally.
General duties:
Sole charge childcare duties.
Encourage development and stimulation activities throughout the preschool and primary school years.
Potty training and supporting the transition from nappies
The school run and take the children to after-school and playdate activities.
Being creative with the children whilst stimulating them socially, physically, and educationally
Preparation and delivery of tutoring
Cooking healthy and nutritious food for the children.
Menu planning
Structured & spontaneous play activities to encourage growth & development.
To engage in a wide range of outdoor/indoor activities.
Should be confident and proficient in the engagement of learning through developmental learning projects and creative sources.
Scheduling naps and to encourage the children’s good behaviour, such as manners, boundaries respect and kindness.
Administering medication and taking care of children and ensuring safety indoors and outdoors at all times.
Working closely with the parents to ensure the children’s growth and social development meets the expectation of the family.
Organising play areas and rooms after the children.
Wardrobe management for the children.
On-line shopping for the children, sourcing of clothing and educational creative crafts supplies

Candidate requirements:
Must have an up-to-date Enhanced DBS and Paediatric First Aid
Native English speaker is required. It would be advantageous if the Nanny/Governess were fluent in a second language, French or Spanish, but not a requirement
