Raleigh, NC – Family in Cary, North Carolina is seeking an experienced, professional Rota Nanny to join their household team. This position is 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off and requires a dedicated and proactive caregiver who can seamlessly integrate into the family’s routines. The ideal candidate will support the parents’ Montessori-based parenting style, provide structure and engagement for four children (ages 12 – 3), and work collaboratively with the parents, another rota nanny, and household staff. All four children are in school. This position will include travel domestically and internationally.
Responsibilities:
Childcare & Engagement
Provide attentive, engaging, and developmentally focused care for four children.
Foster independence and responsibility in line with Montessori principles.
Assist with daily routines including mornings, after-school transitions, and bedtimes.
Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that encourage growth and learning.
Work cohesively with another rota nanny, parents, and household staff.
Household & Organization
Keep children’s spaces tidy and organized (clothes, toys, school materials).
Manage children’s laundry and organization of clothing.
Prepare simple, healthy meals and snacks or assist with family meal prep.
Family Support & Logistics
Safely transport children to and from school, activities, and appointments (vehicle provided).
Assist with family errands such as grocery shopping, dry cleaning, and returns.
Rota Schedule: 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off (live-in during working weeks, live-out on time off)
Salary: $90,000 – $115,000 per year DOE
