Ideal start is mid-August 2023.
Wonderful Silicon Valley family with two amazing and dynamic children, ages 12 and 14, are seeking a vibrant and bright full-time career nanny to join their team!
Kids split their time 50-50 between two homes which are about 5 minutes apart, and summers are spent on the East Coast, so the ability to travel is a must.
This family is looking for a long-term fit, and 5+ years of experience.
IDEAL MATCH:
You are energetic, athletic, well-rounded, and educated. You have years of experience not only as a nanny, but preferably in UHNW/VVIP homes, and are comfortable navigating those types of social settings. You have an innate sense of privacy and discretion.
You have the experience and skillset to be able to help them with school-related subject matter, homework, and to navigate the growing academic responsibilities of kids this age, even though schoolwork is not the main focus of the position.
You have experience and comfort with working as part of a team, as the households are fully staffed. You are also comfortable making high-level decisions on your own, and helping guide these two wonderful kids through day-to-day life when the parents are unavailable.
You have interest and experience in providing support to the whole family system – you may be asked to run errands, organize something not explicitly kid-related, or simply jump in from time to time – please be happy to go with the flow!
Both parents are actively involved in the childrens’ lives, and there is also help from extended family, so comfort in working closely with extended family members is a must.
This is a full-time position which requires a good deal of flexibility: adapting to changing schedules, providing occasional last-minute coverage, having a potentially different schedule each day of the week. It is primarily Monday through Friday with mostly afternoon start times. Your hours will likely vary week-to-week, and this is a good fit if you appreciate variety in your weekly and monthly schedules.
You are tech-savvy, and have experience and fluency in operating a PC or Mac, and working with Outlook, Excel, Microsoft Word, Google Docs, and Google Calendar. You can actively monitor, change, and update multiple shared calendars. You are also comfortable communicating over text messages, email, and phone.
You have full support from the family’s long-term East Coast nanny, who will onboard you, provide your schedule every week, and is available at all times for guidance and to answer questions.
The family is offering a top of the line salary and benefits package.
