A loving and kind family in northern Westchester County, NY are seeking a rotational nanny for their two children, ages 2 and 3. The schedule will be 14 days on/14 days off with a general daily schedule of 7am to 8pm. The day-to-day schedule will vary based on the family’s needs and travel plans. There is a 24/7 mentality needed during the on-duty days, though the nanny will sleep in their own room. A person who is energetic, positive, warm, professional, and developmentally focused will excel in this role. The family wants someone who is a great caregiver, who is reliable, and will create a stimulating environment for their children. It’s a huge plus if you have experience with a Montessori, Reggio Emilia, or similar child-led philosophies. Both children will be in pre-school programs in the Fall, one 5 mornings per week and one 3 mornings per week.
Job responsibilities include implementing developmentally-appropriate activities and facilitating development of the children. The role also includes light housekeeping and meal preparation for the children. The family’s home is fully-staffed, so you must be a team-player. The family is seeking a long-term fit with this nanny. The ideal candidate is active and energetic with a calm demeanor and has a pitch-in attitude. Someone who is committed to engaging in children’s specific interests and promoting early childhood learning and development would do best in this role.
The candidate must swim, drive, have live-in experience, and several years of nanny experience. You also must speak Spanish (BOQ), must have infant/child CPR and First-Aid certifications, and must be vaccinated for COVID, including the booster.
