A lovely entertainment family is seeking a rockstar family assistant/nanny to join their team! The role calls for full time family assistant duties, which will also require child care either in the early mornings or afternoons. This is a two home family, and the boys (ages 7 and 10) split their time between this household and the other parent’s. In the summer, the family stays at their Montecito property for one month, beginning mid – July, and the schedule will be Monday to Thursday. There are accommodations for the nanny to stay with the family in Montecito, or they can choose to commute. There will be many weekends out of the year that the kids will be with the other parent, but the schedule will fluctuate — a flexible mentality is a MUST.
When the kids are not present (either in school, at camp, or with the other parent), you will be responsible for making sure the house is running efficiently, taking direction from the long time assistant/house manager. This could include running errands, keeping track of inventory, tackling household projects, grocery shopping, restocking the house, etc. The house manager works Monday to Thursday, and you will overlap with each other on Thursdays. She will delegate tasks and is also responsible for the kid’s schedule, so this person will work very closely with her. Please be a strong team player, have a friendly personality and enjoy working with others! There may also be a need for travel, so must be travel – ready and flexible, with a valid passport!
The ideal candidate has both nanny and family assistant experience, is friendly, upbeat, switched ON, a self – starter, great communicator, incredibly organized, professional, and efficient. We would love to find someone who genuinely enjoys being helpful, and is willing to roll up their sleeves and handle anything thrown their way. There is a housekeeper who works Monday to Friday, but on the weekends, the family will appreciate someone who can pick up after the kids, and do a final sweep of the house before leaving for the day, making sure everything is tidy and put away. There is a nanny car available for all work – related driving. Must have a squeaky clean driving record!
Schedule: Monday Tuesday Wednesday 7am-7pm
Compensation: $35/hour+ OT, DOE plus 2 weeks vacation, sick days, paid holidays, $500 monthly medical stipend
