A busy and welcoming family based in Boston, MA is looking for an experienced Nanny / House Manager to support their two school-aged children and help keep the household running smoothly day to day. This is a hybrid role that blends hands-on childcare with proactive household management, ideal for someone highly organised, practical, and confident juggling multiple responsibilities. The family is looking for someone who takes initiative naturally, notices what needs doing, and steps in without being asked.
The role follows a Monday to Friday schedule (7am–3pm or 10am–6pm) and requires a valid driver’s licence for school runs and activities. You’ll be responsible for both the children’s daily routines and the wider organisation of the home, working alongside a weekly chef and housekeeper while overseeing coordination and keeping everything on track. The right person will bring calm structure, attention to detail, and a genuinely proactive approach to family life.
Key Responsibilities:
Morning and after-school care for two school-aged children
School drop-offs and pick-ups, plus driving to activities
Preparing simple, healthy meals and snacks for the children
Assisting with homework and supporting daily school routines
Planning age-appropriate activities and maintaining structured routines
Keeping children’s spaces tidy, organised, and well maintained
Managing household tasks including laundry and dishwasher loading/unloading
Grocery ordering, bill payments, and general household administration
Coordinating vendors, extracurricular schedules, and family calendars
Overseeing communication and workflow with chef and housekeeper
Supporting the planning of family events and household organisation
