Bloomfield, NJ – A family of four is seeking a nurturing newborn nanny to care for their two children: a 3-month-old infant and a 4-year-old. While the father works from home, the mother will be returning to an office setting. The family is eager to fill the position promptly but prioritizes finding the ideal candidate who will seamlessly integrate into their dynamic.

Responsibilities:
1. Provide expert care for newborns, including feeding, diapering, soothing, and sleep training.
2. Educate parents on newborn care techniques, including breastfeeding, bottle-feeding, and infant hygiene.
3. Establish and maintain healthy sleep habits and routines for newborns, promoting optimal rest and development.
4. Monitor newborns for signs of discomfort, illness, or developmental milestones, and communicate any concerns to parents.
5. Offer emotional support and reassurance to parents as they navigate the challenges of caring for a newborn.
6. Assist with household tasks related to newborn care, such as laundry, sterilizing bottles, and organizing nursery supplies.
7. Collaborate with other caregivers, including nannies and postpartum doulas, to ensure seamless care transitions for the family.
8. Maintain accurate records of feeding, sleeping, and developmental milestones for each newborn under your care.

Qualifications:
1. Previous experience as a Newborn Care Specialist or similar role, with a strong understanding of newborn care principles and best practices.
2. Certification in Newborn Care or related field preferred.
3. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with parents and newborns alike.
4. Compassion, patience, and empathy for the needs of newborns and their families.
5. Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and routines.
6. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record, if transportation is required.
7. Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and provide professional references.

Schedule:
This is a full-time position with a schedule that may vary based on the needs of the families served. Flexibility is essential to accommodate newborns’ feeding and sleeping patterns.
