A professional family based in Belgravia, London is seeking an experienced Mandarin-speaking nanny/tutor to support their three school-aged children. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate who is passionate about education, language development, and creating a positive, engaging environment for children. The family is looking for someone who can naturally incorporate Mandarin into the children’s daily lives while providing attentive after-school care and academic support.
The role will involve school pick-ups, supervising homework, supporting Mandarin language development, and planning enriching activities that encourage learning, confidence, and independence. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organised, and able to create a structured yet enjoyable after-school routine. During school holidays, the nanny/tutor will work full-time and accompany the family on trips.
Requirements:
Fluent Mandarin speaker with excellent English communication skills
Proven experience working with school-aged children
Previous experience as a nanny, tutor, governess, or educator preferred
Ability to support Mandarin language development through conversation and activities
Experience assisting with homework and academic support
Strong organisational and time-management skills
Creative and proactive approach to planning educational activities
Flexible and willing to travel with the family during school holidays
Professional, reliable, and able to build positive relationships with children
This position offers a schedule of Monday to Friday, 2:00pm–7:00pm during term time, increasing to 50 hours per week during school holidays. The family is seeking a long-term candidate who can become a trusted and consistent presence in the children’s lives. Salary is offered at £45,000–£55,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
