A private family in Bel Air is seeking an active, intelligent, and caring full-time Nanny to provide developmental and nurturing care for their two children—one school-aged and one toddler. The ideal candidate will have experience working with young children, have a strong educational background, and be adept at setting boundaries while fostering the children’s development. This is a full-time role with flexibility to travel, though extensive travel is not required.
Requirements:
- Strong educational background, with a focus on child development
- Previous nanny experience with young children, preferably in a fully-staffed home
- Active and energetic, able to keep up with two young children and engage them in outdoor, physical activities
- Confident setting boundaries and providing structure for the children
- Intelligent and proactive, with the ability to provide educational support and developmental activities
Responsibilities:
- School drop-offs and pick-ups (7:30 AM drop-off, pickup time varies between 3:30-6 PM depending on the day)
- Plan engaging and age-appropriate activities for the toddler including music classes, parks, etc.
- Engage the school-aged child in educational activities, particularly in math and other areas of interest
- Maintain boundaries and structure for the children while fostering a positive, fun environment
- Light household tidying, including making beds and unloading the dishwasher
- Ensure toys and children’s belongings are organized and tidy
- Focus on fostering the children’s development through interactive play, outdoor activities, and NO screen time
- Be flexible with the family’s schedule, including handling situations where extended family (in-laws) are in town for part of the year
Schedule: Monday through Friday from 7AM – 6PM with the flexibility required for occasional longer hours
Compensation: Up to $100K+ based on experience, PTO, healthcare stipend
