A family based in Bayswater is looking for a warm, experienced Cantonese-speaking nanny to care for their two children, aged 1 and 4. This is a primarily childcare-focused role within a busy but supportive household, and the family is hoping to find someone who naturally brings patience, energy, and structure into the children’s day. They value a nanny who feels confident balancing toddler and early school-age needs while also helping create a calm, consistent routine at home.
A key part of this role is supporting the children’s Cantonese language development in a natural and engaging way throughout the day. The ideal candidate will be someone who genuinely enjoys interacting with children through play, conversation, and daily routines, while also being confident handling light child-related housekeeping and cooking.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide attentive, hands-on care for two children aged 1 and 4
Speak Cantonese consistently with the children throughout the day to support language development
Plan engaging, age-appropriate activities that support learning, creativity, and development
Support daily routines including meals, naps, school preparation, and bedtime routines
Prepare healthy meals and snacks for the children
Carry out light housekeeping related to the children (tidying play areas, bedrooms, and belongings)
Encourage early learning through play, reading, songs, and interactive activities
Support emotional, social, and developmental milestones
Assist with school runs and outings as needed
Maintain a safe, structured, and nurturing environment at all times
This is a Monday–Friday position, approximately 8:30am–7:00pm, and can be live-in or live-out depending on preference. Salary ranges from £45,000–£55,000 GPA for live-in or £50,000–£65,000 GPA for live-out.
