A family in Balham, SW12, is looking for a fluent Russian-speaking nanny to take sole charge of their 1-year-old boy and 4-year-old girl. The position is ideal for an experienced nanny who is confident caring for both a baby and a preschool-aged child and can manage the children’s routines independently throughout the day.
Duties will include nursery care for the younger child, preschool routines for the eldest, preparing meals and snacks, organising naps, school or nursery runs as required, and planning age-appropriate activities for both children. The nanny will also support the children’s development through play, books, creative activities, outdoor time, and regular outings.
Fluent Russian is essential, as the family would like the children to have consistent exposure to the language as part of their everyday routine. Previous sole-charge experience is important, along with strong experience caring for babies and preschool-aged children. The family is looking for someone warm, reliable, organised, and confident who can balance the different needs of two young children.
The working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 6:00pm. The position is due to start in September or October. The salary is £20–£22 gross per hour, depending on experience.
