A family in Atherton, California is looking for an experienced Nanny / Educator to support their two school-age children, aged 8 and 10. This role is perfect for someone with a background in education, child development, or teaching who enjoys helping children grow both academically and personally. You’ll also become an important part of the family’s daily routine, assisting with light household tasks related to the children and accompanying the family on overseas trips during the summer. Responsibilities:
Provide attentive care and supervision for two children aged 8 and 10
Support the children’s academic progress with homework and educational activities
Plan engaging learning experiences that encourage curiosity and independent thinking
Prepare healthy, simple meals and snacks for the children
Encourage outdoor play, sports, creative projects, and active lifestyles
Drive the children to and from school, activities, and appointments as required
Tidy up after school drop-off and assist with light household tasks related to the children
Maintain organised routines that help the children balance school, activities, and downtime
Communicate regularly with the parents about the children’s progress and daily routines
Travel overseas with the family during the summer, providing continuity of care
Requirements:
Background in Education, Child Development, Teaching, or a related field
Previous experience working with school-age children
Excellent communication skills and fluent English
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain
Organised, proactive, patient, and energetic
Flexible to travel internationally during the summer
Legal authorization to work in the United States
Excellent references from previous employers
Position Details:
Schedule: Monday–Friday, split shifts
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Salary: $45 per hour
