A bilingual family based in Amsterdam is looking for a French-speaking Nanny to care for their two daughters, aged 6 and 3, in a part-time after-school role. This position would suit someone naturally energetic, kind, and genuinely engaged with children, a nanny who enjoys becoming part of the rhythm of family life while bringing a calm and positive presence to the afternoons.
The family is looking for someone who can create a fun, structured environment after school, balancing play, conversation, creativity, and routine. French language exposure is important to the family, so they’d love to find someone who speaks naturally with the children throughout the day and helps make the language part of everyday life in an easy, relaxed way. Reliability, warmth, and initiative are highly valued in this home.
Responsibilities:
Provide attentive after-school care for two girls aged 6 and 3
Speak French with the children throughout daily routines and activities
Plan engaging age-appropriate activities, games, and creative play
Assist with school pick-ups and after-school routines
Support homework and reading for the older child when needed
Prepare simple meals and snacks for the children
Help maintain tidy child-related areas and organisation
Encourage positive routines, independence, and good manners
Communicate regularly with parents regarding the children’s day and needs
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 25–30 hours per week (after-school hours)
Salary: €25 per hour
