A sweet single mother is seeking a fantastic nanny to help care for her two children aged 5 and 7-years-old. As she is a newly single parent, she is looking for someone who can be flexible to help when needed. The ideal schedule is Monday through Friday with about 25-30 hours worked each week. Once a week, the children will be with their father so hours will be shortened on that day unless he becomes unavailable to take them for the day. The arrangement is unfortunately not consistent and the mother is ideally looking for someone to be there and be available, just in case.
Job responsibilities include all tasks related to childcare, including pick-up and drop-offs, keeping the children’s home and school life organized, assisting with light housekeeping, keeping the home organized, helping with dinner, and the children’s night-time routine. The family previously had their nanny of a few years come each day around 1-2pm. Upon arrival, she would help with laundry, getting the home clean and organized, and getting the children from school in the afternoon. Once the children were picked up from school, she would take them to their activities or bring them home to get homework started. Their nanny would help prepare dinner, get the children washed up, and get them into bed each night. When the children were with their father, she would come to the home to help keep it clean/run errands, but she would also be prepared to pick-up the children if their dad was no longer able to. The family is ideally looking for someone to be able to do the same and act as a mother’s helper.
The ideal candidate is professional, detail-oriented, proactive, flexible, and will be a great communicator with a positive attitude. A driver’s license is required for this role.
