We’re looking for a warm, confident Governess / Private Educator to join a welcoming family based in Abuja, Nigeria, supporting the development of a bright and curious 5-year-old. This is a fully immersive role suited to someone with a strong foundation in early years education who genuinely enjoys shaping young minds in a one-to-one setting. The family values a thoughtful, engaging approach to learning—someone who can bring structure without rigidity, and creativity without chaos. A willingness to relocate internationally is essential, as is holding a UK passport and being a native English speaker with recognised qualifications (PGCE, QTS, Montessori, or an Early Years degree).
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver structured, high-quality homeschooling tailored to a 5-year-old’s developmental stage
Foster educational, social, and emotional development through engaging, age-appropriate activities
Establish and maintain a consistent, balanced daily routine
Plan and organise enriching activities, creative projects, and educational outings
Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment
The schedule is Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, offering up to £1,300 per week for the right candidate.
