Night Newborn Care Specialist – Abingdon, VA
A family in Abingdon, VA is seeking an experienced Night Newborn Care Specialist to support them with their second child, due July 31, 2026. With a 21-month-old daughter already at home, the family is looking for a knowledgeable, calm professional who can confidently guide them through the newborn stage while establishing healthy sleep and feeding routines from the very beginning. This role focuses on full newborn care, including overnight soothing and monitoring, bottle preparation and breastfeeding support, tracking feeding, sleep, and developmental milestones, maintaining nursery organization and sanitation, and providing gentle guidance to help ease the sibling transition. The ideal candidate will also educate and empower the parents with practical, experience-based support to build strong, sustainable routines.
This is primarily an overnight position consisting of 12-hour shifts, with 24/7 coverage required when traveling. The family is seeking a 4–6 month commitment beginning in July 2026. A private bedroom and bathroom are provided, and compensation ranges from $40–$50 per hour depending on experience.
