A private family based in Zurich, Switzerland is seeking an experienced Arabic-speaking live-in nanny to care for their newborn baby. The family follows a Montessori-inspired philosophy and is looking for someone who is curious, open-minded, and committed to supporting the baby’s development through purposeful play, exploration, and responsive care. A key part of the role will be speaking Arabic with the baby throughout the day to encourage natural bilingual language development.
The successful candidate will support the baby’s daily routine, including feeding, naps, and age-appropriate developmental activities, while creating a calm and stimulating environment where the child can thrive. Responsibilities also include managing all nursery duties, washing and organising the baby’s clothing, keeping the nursery clean and well organised, and accompanying the family on occasional international travel.
Requirements:
Native or fluent Arabic speaker.
Previous experience caring for newborns or young infants in a private household.
Genuine interest in Montessori-inspired and child-led childcare approaches.
Strong understanding of infant development and early developmental milestones.
Confident supporting feeding, sleep routines, and age-appropriate sensory activities.
Happy to undertake all nursery duties, including organising the baby’s clothing and nursery.
Flexible and willing to travel internationally with the family.
EU passport holder (essential).
This is a full-time live-in position, offering a competitive salary from CHF 5,000 per month, with accommodation provided for the right candidate.
