A private family in the Washington, DC area is seeking an experienced full-time live-in nanny to care for their energetic 4-year-old twins. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional nanny who enjoys supporting young children’s development while becoming part of a busy family lifestyle. The ideal candidate will be nurturing, organised, and proactive, with previous experience working in high-net-worth (HNW) private households. A genuine enthusiasm for travel is essential, as the role involves accompanying the family on frequent trips throughout the United States, the UK, and Europe, with travel making up approximately 50% of the position.
The nanny will be responsible for managing the children’s daily routines, including meal preparation, hygiene, school drop-offs and pick-ups, and planning engaging educational activities that encourage creativity, language development, early learning, and social skills. During school hours, the role also includes light household support, such as child-related laundry, keeping the children’s bedrooms and play areas organised, light cooking, and assisting with general household tasks as needed. The successful candidate will work closely with the parents to provide a consistent, nurturing environment both at home and while travelling.
This is a Monday through Friday position offering a salary of $85,000+ per year, depending on experience. Applicants must hold a valid passport for international travel and have CPR and Pediatric First Aid certification (or be willing to obtain it before starting).
