The mother is Australian and works from home, while the father is Japanese and travels frequently for work. The family values a nurturing, developmentally focused approach and is especially keen to support the baby’s Japanese language exposure from an early age.
This role is ideal for an experienced infant nanny who is confident working in a home where a parent is present and who enjoys supporting early learning and language development.
Key Responsibilities
Provide attentive, loving care for a 6-month-old infant
Speak Japanese with the child to support early language acquisition
Support age-appropriate developmental milestones through play and interaction
Follow established routines for feeding, naps, and daily care
Engage the baby in sensory play, reading, music, and outdoor walks
Maintain a safe, calm, and stimulating environment
Communicate daily updates with parents regarding routines and development
Ideal Candidate Profile
Fluent or native Japanese speaker (essential)
Proven experience caring for infants
Comfortable working alongside a parent who works from home
Warm, reliable, and developmentally knowledgeable
Professional and respectful of family routines
Local, live-out candidates only
Consistent weekly schedule: Monday–Thursday, 8:00am–6:00pm
Compensation: $35 per hour
