A family based in Solihull, near Birmingham, is seeking an experienced and highly professional Night Maternity Nurse to provide expert newborn support from January 2027. This is a three-month contract with the possibility of extension for the right candidate.
The role will involve full newborn care, including monitoring the baby’s wellbeing, supporting feeding, and helping to establish healthy sleep and feeding routines from the earliest stages. The successful candidate will be confident providing practical guidance and reassurance to parents while maintaining a respectful and collaborative approach within the family home. Responsibilities will also include nursery organisation, managing all baby-related duties, and supporting the child’s early development through attentive and responsive care.
The family is looking for someone who is calm, discreet, knowledgeable, and able to bring a wealth of newborn experience to the role. Previous experience working with high-profile families is essential, along with a strong understanding of professional boundaries and confidentiality. Applicants must hold recognised maternity nurse qualifications, an enhanced DBS certificate, and a valid Paediatric First Aid certification.
The position will involve working six nights per week. Candidates must be based within a reasonable commuting distance of Solihull and be able to travel to the family home reliably for each shift.
