A private family in Slough is looking for a qualified teacher who has moved into nannying to care for their 4-year-old child. This is an educationally focused nanny role that combines day-to-day childcare with a strong emphasis on learning, development, and good manners.
The nanny will manage the child’s before and after-school routine, prepare meals and snacks, and provide engaging educational activities that reflect the child’s interests, abilities, and stage of development. A key part of the role will be planning a tailored curriculum that supports the child’s learning outside school and creates a good balance between structured lessons, creative activities, reading, play, and time outdoors. The nanny will also teach age-appropriate etiquette and social skills, helping the child develop good manners, confidence, independence, and respectful behaviour. Regular communication with the child’s school will be important, and the nanny will liaise with teachers to stay up to date with the curriculum, progress, and any areas that may need additional support at home.
The family is looking for someone who can bring their teaching experience into a private household and create an engaging learning environment that feels natural and enjoyable for a young child. Driving is essential for the role, and the family will provide an automatic car for use during working hours.
Private accommodation is also provided as part of the position. The working schedule is 7:00am to 7:00pm, with two days off each week. The salary is £22–£25 gross per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
