Wonderful overseas position in Iceland, Reykjavik, working with a lovely family and their daughter of 2. Ideal working hours would be Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sundays 8-10 hours per day with some babysitting included either Friday or Saturday night. Morning and afternoon shift pattern on weekdays since little one is at nursery. Tuesdays and Thursdays off. Proxy parenting will be required on occasional basis..
The home is surrounded with beautiful scenery and mountains, close to stables, geo thermal pools, bakery, gym, shops and there is direct bus to the busy town. If you enjoy the outdoors this is the role for you! You can go horseback riding, hiking, biking, skiing, cross country skiing, sea swimming, diving, glacier hiking, and not to forget they have several erupting volcanoes within a 30-minute drive!
The family enjoys to travel and tends to travel three times a year to the US for a number of weeks, Europe for annual sun and skiing vacations. The ideal nanny will be professional, warm, passionate, active and have experience with the Montessori method.
Accommodation – Own room, Queen or King-size bed two bedrooms to choose from. Floor to ceiling windows that look out onto the garden and mountains. Full wardrobes and heated floors, large walk-in shower. Lovely and private with cooking facilities, the area is slightly separate to the main home.
