A family in Puerto Rico is seeking an experienced infant nanny to care for their newborn, due in September. This is a wonderful opportunity for a professional nanny with extensive newborn and infant experience who is passionate about providing attentive, development-focused care during the first years of life. The position is expected to begin anytime between October and December, depending on the availability of the successful candidate.
The nanny will take a hands-on role in supporting the baby’s daily routines, wellbeing, and developmental progress. Responsibilities will include encouraging age-appropriate milestones, planning engaging developmental activities, assisting with baby-led weaning when appropriate, and preparing fresh, healthy meals for the child. The family is looking for someone proactive and highly organised who can also manage all child-related laundry, maintain organised nursery spaces, and assist with errands and grocery shopping as needed. A nurturing approach combined with strong infant knowledge and excellent attention to detail is essential.
The family travels extensively throughout the year, making this an ideal role for a nanny who enjoys travel and is comfortable adapting to different environments. Separate accommodation will be provided both in Puerto Rico and while travelling. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 50 hours per week, and the position offers a salary of $80,000 per year.
Requirements:
Extensive professional experience caring for newborns and infants
Strong knowledge of infant development and developmental milestones
Experience supporting baby-led weaning and preparing healthy meals for children
Confident managing infant routines, feeding schedules, and sleep routines
Willingness to undertake all child-related laundry and nursery organisation
Comfortable running errands and grocery shopping as needed
Flexible and enthusiastic about extensive domestic and international travel
Valid passport and travel-ready at all times
Legal right to work in the United States (required)
