A Spanish-speaking nanny is sought for a family in Pimlico, London, to care for one baby with a strong focus on all areas of early childhood development. The ideal candidate will have proven experience caring for babies of a similar age and a genuine understanding of the changing needs of children from infancy through to their early school years. The nanny will provide attentive, nurturing care while supporting the baby’s physical, emotional, social and cognitive development through age-appropriate play, activities and daily routines. A good understanding of developmental milestones is important, along with the confidence to support the child as they grow and become more independent. The role will include all nursery duties, such as managing the baby’s laundry, keeping the nursery and child-related areas organised, and ensuring everything needed for the baby’s care is clean and ready. The nanny will also support the family through the weaning stage and, when the time comes, assist with potty training in a calm and positive way. The family is looking for someone who is proactive, caring and knowledgeable, with a professional approach and the ability to build a strong, trusting relationship with both the baby and parents. Spanish language skills are required for the position. The nanny will work Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 6:00pm, for 10 hours per day, with occasional babysitting required when arranged in advance. The salary is £50,000–£60,000 gross per annum, depending on experience.
