Family based in Paddington is seeking a reliable and flexible maternity practitioner to provide 24-hour weekend cover for their newborn. The family already works with an experienced lead maternity practitioner during the week, so the successful candidate will step in at weekends to continue the established care routine. This role is ideal for someone newer to maternity work or looking to gain further experience, as you will be following clear guidance and routines already in place. The family values someone who is warm, dependable, and very happy to take instructions to ensure consistency for the baby.
Duties:
- Follow the routine set by the lead maternity practitioner
- Following the baby’s feeding, winding, and sleeping schedule
- Follow all instructions set by the lead maternity practitioner
- Bathing
- Washing of laundry, bottles, and sterilisation
- Keeping the nursery tidy, clean, and organised
- Prepping the baby/pram for any outings with mother/family
- Packing for the baby around any holidays
- Supporting the mother as needed
- Holiday Cover when the lead maternity practitioner will be on leave 12th December – 4th January 2026
Days & Hours Required: Friday 6pm until Sunday 6pm | 24 hour care
Start Date: 31st of October 2025
End date: January 2026 (likely to extend to April 2026)
