A sweet family in West Village is seeking a full-time live-out fluent French-speaking nanny for their 14-month-old daughter to begin whenever the right fit is found. The schedule would be Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week, and likely 10am-6pm. However, the job may go up to 50 hours per week and overtime will be paid if so.
They desire someone who is gentle, caring, attentive (not a nanny on the phone), someone who interacts with the baby, and is sharp/on top of things. The candidate to hire must be a fluent French speaker or a Serbian-Croatian-Montenegrin speaker. The nanny will primarily speak to the baby in either of these languages. There will be light housekeeping duties as it relates to the baby (her laundry, cleaning bottles, etc.) It would be great if the nanny would be open to travel, but this is not a hard requirement. The family travels about 2 times a year to Europe and sometimes takes weekend trips domestically.
