We are seeking a professional SEN nanny for a two-year-old child with special needs to provide dedicated, high-quality care in a nurturing and supportive home environment. This is a rewarding opportunity for an experienced special educational needs (SEN) caregiver who is patient, compassionate, and confident supporting early childhood development with sensitivity to individual needs. The ideal candidate will create a safe, structured, and engaging environment that promotes the child’s physical, emotional, and developmental well-being.
This role requires someone who is proactive, knowledgeable in child development, and able to work closely with parents to support consistent routines and developmental progress. Strong communication skills and a calm, attentive approach are essential, along with the ability to adapt activities and care strategies to meet the child’s specific needs.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing nurturing, attentive, and developmentally appropriate care at all times
- Managing daily routines, including feeding, bathing, diaper changes, dressing, and sleep routines
- Preparing healthy meals and snacks for the child
- Engaging the child in safe, stimulating, and age-appropriate activities such as playtime, walks, sensory play, and developmental exercises
- Supporting the child’s overall development, health, and emotional well-being with patience and sensitivity
- Monitoring progress and adapting care approaches based on the child’s needs
- Communicating regularly with parents and providing guidance on routines, development, and strategies
This position follows a Friday morning to Sunday night schedule and offers a competitive salary of $140,000 gross per year.
