Family in Marblehead, MA (a suburb of Boston) is seeking a live-in or live-out career nanny for their two boys (ages 11 and 7). Both parents have heavy work schedules outside the home, including travel.
You will be active, enjoy the outdoor & fresh air, and great with routine, working cohesively with the family. The two boys are quite social with their friends, enjoy video games, board games, soccer and being outdoors.
Typical duties of this role will include:
- Preparing the children for school
- Light meal prep for the family (basic meals – e.g. chicken and vegetables, pasta’s etc)
- Driving the children (school pick up and drop off, taking to afternoon activities, play dates and events)
- Organize children’s closets (swap out clothes for the season, donate clothes outgrown, replenish wardrobe)
- Oversee and assist with homework and school projects/ assignments.
- Basic laundry (wash and dry)
- Dishes – e.g. loading and emptying dishwasher
- Taking out trash/ breaking down delivery boxes
- Household inventory and organization
- Caring for pets (food, water, walking, taking to vets or groomers)
- Running errands. These might consist of
– Grocery shopping
– Personal errands & gift shopping
– Running dry cleaning
A Nanny vehicle is provided for all work-related duties, and the live-in accommodations offer a private bedroom & bath, and kitchenette facilities on the lower level of the home separate from the families main spaces. There is also a living room on the lower level that the children do use as a “family area”.
Schedule: The family is open to live-in or live- out, the schedule would vary slightly.
Both schedules would require occasional Saturday evenings (e.g. parents date night), and flexibility for a change in schedule when children are of school (teacher workdays, school break, off sick, etc).
Live-out:
When children are in school: Noon through 6:30pm weekdays
When children are off school: 9am – 5pm weekdays
Live-in:
When children are in school: School drop off in morning (approx. 45mins), then 12:30pm through 6:30pm weekdays, occasional Saturday evenings.
When children are off school: 9am – 5pm weekdays
