A family in Lincoln Park, Chicago is looking for an experienced full-time nanny to care for their toddler. This is a development-focused role for someone who truly enjoys the toddler years and understands how to encourage learning through play, routine, and everyday experiences. One parent works from home, so the ideal nanny will be confident working independently while maintaining open communication. The family is looking for someone who is warm, dependable, and proactive, with a genuine passion for early childhood development.
The successful candidate will enjoy planning engaging activities, getting outdoors, and helping the child reach new milestones while providing consistency and structure throughout the day. When the child is attending part-time school, the nanny will help with child-related household tasks to keep everything organised and running smoothly. The family is also open to a nanny who is happy to join them on both domestic and international trips. Candidates should have a strong understanding of toddler development, a clean driving record, and several years of professional nanny experience.
Responsibilities:
Provide loving, attentive care for one toddler.
Plan and lead age-appropriate activities, outings, and educational play.
Support early learning, independence, and healthy daily routines.
Prepare nutritious meals and snacks for the child.
Complete the child’s laundry and keep the child’s bedroom, play areas, and belongings clean and organised.
Transport the child to school, activities, and appointments using the family car or your own vehicle (mileage reimbursed if using your own car).
Assist with child-related household tasks while the child is attending part-time school.
Travel with the family on domestic and international trips as needed.
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of professional nanny experience.
Strong understanding of toddler development and early childhood learning.
CPR certification.
Clean and safe driving record.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00am–5:00pm
Compensation: $35 per hour.
