A private family based in Knightsbridge is seeking a warm, experienced Greek-speaking governess to care for and support their two school-aged children. The family is looking for someone who can naturally incorporate the Greek language into daily life while also providing structure, guidance, and support with the children’s education and routines.
The ideal candidate will be confident working with school-aged children and enjoy taking an active role in their development, both academically and socially. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who values manners, discipline, and positive role modelling, while also making learning engaging and enjoyable. A summer start is planned, and the family is hoping to find someone proactive, reliable, and genuinely invested in helping their children grow in confidence and independence.
Responsibilities:
Speaking Greek with the children throughout the day to support language development
School runs, including drop-off and pick-up
Supervising homework and supporting academic progress
Planning engaging, age-appropriate educational and recreational activities
Encouraging good manners, respectful behaviour, and positive routines
Supporting the children’s daily structure and after-school routines
Organising activities and outings that promote learning and social development
Communicating with parents regarding progress, behaviour, and daily updates
Supporting a calm, structured, and nurturing environment
This is a Monday to Friday role, approximately 30–40 hours per week, with exact hours and salary to be discussed at interview stage.
