A family in Jersey City is seeking a highly experienced, educationally focused full-time nanny to care for their toddler. This live-out position is ideal for a professional with a strong background in education, child psychology, or early childhood development who brings a thoughtful, development-driven approach to childcare. Responsibilities include planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities and outings, engaging in meaningful play, and supporting social and emotional development. The nanny will communicate closely with parents, track developmental milestones, and take initiative in creating a structured and enriching environment. Additional duties include child-related housekeeping, preparing meals, and travelling with the family as needed, both domestically and internationally. Candidates must be confident swimmers, CPR certified, fully vaccinated, and comfortable with travel; a valid driver’s license is a plus.
The schedule is typically Monday to Friday with an 8:00am start, offering 40 hours guaranteed per week. The position offers $30+ per hour, depending on experience.
