We are seeking a compassionate, experienced Night Baby Nurse to provide expert overnight care for a healthy 2-month-old infant. The ideal candidate will ensure the baby is fed, changed, soothed, and monitored throughout the night, allowing parents to rest with peace of mind.
This role is perfect for someone with strong newborn care skills, a nurturing disposition, and the ability to maintain a calm, quiet, and safe environment for the baby during nighttime hours.
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive overnight care for a 2-month-old, including:
- Feeding (bottle preparation and/or breast milk handling)
- Burping and soothing
- Diaper changes
- Swaddling and settling baby back to sleep
- Monitor baby’s safety, sleep patterns, and overall comfort throughout the night
- Keep accurate notes on feeding times, diaper changes, and sleep for parents’ review in the morning
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe nursery environment
- Follow parents’ established care preferences and routines
- Communicate any concerns promptly and professionally
Qualifications
- Required: Newborn/infant care experience (night nurse, newborn care specialist, or similar role)
- Preferred: Newborn Care Specialist (NCS) certification, CPR/First Aid certification for infants
- Strong knowledge of safe sleep guidelines and newborn care best practices
- Excellent communication and discretion with respect for family privacy
- Calm, patient, and trustworthy demeanor
- Ability to work independently overnight without direct supervision
Schedule: 2–3 nights per week, generally 9:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Pay: From $30.00 per hour
