A private family in Dubai is looking for an experienced Arabic-speaking governess to support two children aged 8 and 11, with the main focus of the role being Arabic language development. The ideal candidate will be a fluent Arabic speaker who can create a natural language-immersion environment and encourage the children to use Arabic throughout their time together.
Responsibilities will include teaching Arabic, speaking to the children in Arabic during everyday activities, and helping them build confidence with the language through conversation, reading, games, and age-appropriate lessons. The governess will also assist with homework and spend quality time with the children after school and at weekends. A teaching or education background is preferred, particularly experience working with school-aged children and supporting language development. The family would like someone who can make Arabic engaging and practical rather than relying only on formal lessons, with the language becoming a natural part of the children’s daily routine.
This is a live-in position with accommodation provided and requires six days per week, with working hours focused on after-school care and weekends. The salary is $3,000 per month.
