A family based in Cork, Ireland is seeking a highly qualified Night Maternity Nurse to provide expert overnight support following the arrival of their newborn. This is a short-term contract beginning in early October and is ideally suited to an experienced newborn care professional with a clinical background and a passion for supporting families during the early weeks of parenthood. The family is looking for someone who can bring reassurance, knowledge, and a calm presence while helping establish healthy feeding and sleep routines.
The successful candidate will work four nights per week from 9:00pm to 7:00am, and will be responsible for all aspects of overnight newborn care, including feeding support, monitoring the baby’s wellbeing, settling and soothing, and providing guidance to parents as needed. This role requires a professional who is confident caring for newborns independently and who can offer evidence-based advice while maintaining a nurturing and supportive approach.
The ideal candidate will have extensive newborn experience and hold a recognised qualification in Midwifery, Paediatric Nursing, or Public Health Nursing.
