A family in Astoria, New York is seeking a full-time nanny to provide loving, attentive, and developmentally focused care for their baby boy. This is a wonderful opportunity for a nurturing, experienced nanny who is passionate about infant development and creating a calm, supportive environment. One parent works from home full-time, so the ideal candidate will be professional, confident, and comfortable working collaboratively while maintaining independent structure throughout the day.
The family is looking for someone who can provide consistent, responsive care and thoughtfully support their baby’s routines, sleep habits, and early developmental milestones. This role is primarily childcare-focused, with light child-related household tasks.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide consistent, nurturing care throughout the day, including feeding, diapering, and supporting nap routines

Create and maintain a calm, secure environment aligned with the family’s preferences around sleep, routines, and soothing strategies

Engage the baby in age-appropriate developmental activities such as tummy time, reading, singing, sensory play, and early learning through play

Take daily walks and occasional outings, including visits to the nearby library for story time or quiet exploration, as appropriate

Handle light child-related tasks, including washing bottles, tidying play areas, and managing baby laundry as needed

Assist with simple light meal preparation
