A private family based in Brisbane, Australia is looking for an experienced and nurturing Mandarin-speaking nanny to care for their baby girl. Mum works from home and is looking for someone who can take the lead with the baby’s daily routine while also becoming a familiar and trusted person in her life.
Duties will include all aspects of baby care, including feeding and preparing bottles or age-appropriate meals, changing, dressing, settling and nap routines, bathing, and keeping to the baby’s daily schedule. The nanny will organise age-appropriate play and educational activities, read Mandarin books, sing songs and nursery rhymes in Mandarin, talk to the baby throughout the day and encourage early language development through everyday interaction. Walks, outings and activities outside the home will also be part of the routine, with Mandarin used naturally wherever possible. The nanny will also help with baby-related laundry, keeping the nursery and play areas tidy, organising toys and belongings, and generally making sure the baby’s day runs smoothly. As mum works from home, the nanny should be comfortable working alongside a parent while also being confident and independent in caring for the baby.
The position is Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm, and salary is $40–$45 per hour, depending on experience. The family would ideally prefer a live-out nanny, although live-in accommodation can be considered for the right fit.
Previous professional experience caring for babies is required, and the family is looking for someone caring, patient, reliable and genuinely passionate about early childhood and language development.
Applicants must have the right to work in Australia and hold a Blue Card, National Police Check, First Aid and CPR certification.
