We are seeking an education-focused nanny who is passionate about early childhood development to care for two young children, ages 2.5 years and 1 year, in Bethesda, MD.
The ideal candidate is nurturing, reliable, and proactive, with a strong interest in supporting developmental milestones through age-appropriate educational activities, play-based learning, reading, music, and creative exploration.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The 2.5-year-old attends nursery school during these hours; primary care during the day will often focus on the 1-year-old, with shared care before and after school hours.
Responsibilities include:
Providing attentive, developmentally appropriate care
Planning and engaging children in educational and enriching activities
Supporting language, motor, and social-emotional development
Preparing simple, healthy meals/snacks for the children
Maintaining a safe, organized, and stimulating environment
Light child-related tidying
Qualifications:
Experience with infants and toddlers
Strong understanding of early childhood development
Warm, patient, and engaging demeanor
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Compensation:
$30+/hour, commensurate with experience
