A welcoming family is seeking an experienced Live-in Travel Nanny to care for their newborn in a unique international role based between Berlin, Germany and Cincinnati, Ohio. As first-time parents, they are looking for a knowledgeable and nurturing childcare professional who can provide expert guidance and reassurance while delivering exceptional care during their baby’s earliest months. The successful candidate will take responsibility for all aspects of newborn care, including establishing healthy feeding and sleeping routines, supporting developmental milestones, planning age-appropriate sensory activities, and providing a calm and nurturing environment where the baby can thrive. The family values a proactive nanny who is happy to share their expertise and work collaboratively with the parents.
This is a live-in position requiring regular travel between Germany and the United States, working approximately 50 hours per week with weekends off. Fluent English is essential, while German language skills would be a welcome advantage.
Requirements:
Formal childcare qualification (Norland, NNEB, Erzieherin, or equivalent).
Proven experience caring for newborns in a professional nanny or maternity role.
Postnatal care experience.
Strong knowledge of infant development, feeding, sleep routines, and developmental milestones.
Native or fluent English speaker (German is highly desirable).
Comfortable working closely with first-time parents and offering professional guidance.
Flexible and happy to travel internationally between Germany and the United States.
Warm, discreet, organised, and proactive.
