We are seeking a warm, reliable, and experienced full-time nanny and family assistant in Berkeley, CA to care for three children ages 3, 5, and 7. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating a fun, structured, and engaging environment for children while also helping keep the household running smoothly. The youngest child attends preschool in the mornings, allowing time for child-related family assistant duties such as children’s laundry, meal preparation, organizing supplies, and tidying play areas.
The ideal nanny will be active, dependable, and confident managing daily routines, school transportation, and age-appropriate activities. You will support the children’s development through creative play, outdoor adventures, reading, and hands-on activities while maintaining clear boundaries and a consistent schedule. The family is looking for a long-term team member who is comfortable balancing childcare responsibilities with light household support.
Requirements:
Previous professional nanny, family assistant, or childcare experience with multiple children
Ability to provide engaging, age-appropriate activities and encourage outdoor/free play
Comfortable managing school and preschool drop-offs and pick-ups
Safe driving record and confidence driving the family vehicle
Ability to prepare simple, healthy meals and snacks for children
Reliable, organized, proactive, and communicative with a positive attitude
Commitment to creating a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for children
Must be legally authorized to work in the United State
This is a Monday–Friday position from 7:30 AM–5:30/6:00 PM in Berkeley, CA. The family offers $45+/hour depending on experience and qualifications (DOE) and is looking for a caregiver who brings professionalism, enthusiasm, and genuine care to their role.
