A family in Barnes, SW13 is looking for a warm, experienced live-in nanny to care for their baby girl. This is a sole-charge position for someone who enjoys being actively involved in a child’s early development and can provide attentive, nurturing care throughout the day. The nanny will support the baby as she reaches new milestones, encourage her curiosity and learning, and introduce age-appropriate activities that suit her stage of development.
The role includes taking the baby to local classes, activities and outings, as well as creating a varied and engaging daily routine. The nanny will follow the parents’ approach to routines, boundaries and childcare, ensuring consistency between the nanny and family. Duties will remain focused on the child and include managing her laundry and keeping her spaces and belongings tidy. Accommodation is provided within the family home.
Duties:
Provide sole-charge care for the baby girl
Support the child’s development, learning and milestones
Take the child to age-appropriate activities, classes and outings
Plan engaging activities suited to her age and interests
Follow the parents’ approach to routines, boundaries and childcare
Manage the child’s laundry
Keep the child’s bedroom, belongings and play areas tidy
Carry out child-related housekeeping only
Requirements:
Previous professional experience caring for babies
Strong understanding of infant development and age-appropriate activities
Warm, nurturing and attentive approach
Able to take sole responsibility for the child during working hours
Respectful of the parents’ routines, boundaries and childcare preferences
Reliable, organised and proactive
Good knowledge of the Barnes and surrounding southwest London area is advantageous
