About the Family:
A prominent family based in Bangalore seeks a dedicated and experienced Male Governor to oversee the holistic development and well-being of their two boys, aged 13 and 10. The family emphasizes the importance of nurturing the children’s academic, emotional, and physical growth, requiring a candidate with exceptional skills in providing individualized care and support.
Children’s Interests:
The boys are passionate about cricket, golf, badminton, chess, music (guitar and keyboard), and mathematics. They require assistance in enhancing their skills in these areas, as well as guidance in exploring potential career paths for their future.
Special Educational and Emotional Needs:
The older son has mild ADHD and requires support in developing social skills, emotional regulation, and academic progress. The ideal candidate should possess patience, empathy, and expertise in addressing behavioral challenges, providing guidance, and fostering a positive learning environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Establishing and supervising the children’s daily routine, including personal hygiene, yoga, prayer, and exercise sessions.
Ensuring a nutritious diet and timely medication administration, coordinating with household staff as needed.
Providing tutoring and academic support in English, mathematics, sciences, and humanities, tailored to the children’s learning styles and needs.
Organizing extracurricular activities, sports sessions, and outings to promote physical fitness and social interaction.
Implementing posture correction exercises and muscle strengthening routines for the older son.
Assisting with homework, projects, and educational enrichment activities.
Introducing the children to various career options and facilitating connections with industry experts.
Teaching life skills, including budgeting, financial literacy, cooking, gardening, and household chores.
Promoting kindness, empathy, forgiveness, and effective communication through daily interactions and journaling exercises.
Managing the children’s use of technology and fostering a healthy balance between screen time and other activities.
Collaborating with other household staff, tutors, and school teachers to ensure comprehensive support and development.
Providing guidance on social etiquette, interpersonal relationships, and respecting others.
Candidate Requirements:
Fluency in English (native speaker preferred).
Experience in working with children with ADHD or similar conditions.
Strong background in sports coaching or physical education.
Knowledge of educational curricula such as IB/IGCSE.
Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.
Ability to cultivate a nurturing and structured environment.
Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and priorities.
Valid driver’s license (preferred but not essential).
