Washington DC – A family based in Alexandria, VA is seeking an experienced, nurturing, and development-focused nanny to care for their toddler and a newborn due to arrive soon. The family would particularly love to meet candidates with a background in Early Childhood Education who can confidently support developmental milestones, encourage learning through play, and create engaging age-appropriate activities tailored to each child’s stage of development.
The role will initially be a shared-care position alongside mum while she is on maternity leave, gradually transitioning into a sole-charge role as the family’s needs evolve. Responsibilities will include all standard nanny duties, maintaining the children’s daily routines, planning educational and enriching activities, preparing healthy meals and snacks, supporting naps and developmental progress, keeping children’s areas organised, and providing attentive, loving care to both children.
The schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:30pm, and the family is looking for a proactive, dependable nanny who can become a trusted and long-term part of their household.
Compensation is $30–$32 per hour plus benefits for the right candidate.
