A warm and experienced Special Educational Needs (SEN) Nanny is required to support a friendly family in Abu Dhabi. The role centres around the care and development of their 4-year-old child, who presents with speech delay and some behavioural challenges. The ideal candidate will be patient, proactive, and knowledgeable about early childhood development, with a calm and nurturing approach.
Key Responsibilities

Provide attentive, child-centred care that supports the child’s routine, wellbeing, and emotional regulation

Implement strategies that promote speech and language development, in collaboration with parents and any involved therapists

Support age-appropriate learning through play, structured activities, and sensory-friendly experiences

Use positive behaviour-support strategies to help the child develop social and self-regulation skills

Escort the child to and from school and therapy sessions as needed

Maintain clear communication with parents regarding progress, challenges, routines, and any observations

Create and maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment for the child

Assist with meal preparation, organisation of the child’s belongings, and managing daily routines

Utilize time off during the child’s school hours for rest and personal organisation, as agreed with the family
Requirements

Proven experience working with young children, ideally with SEN experience (speech delay, developmental delays, or behavioural support)

Knowledge of early years development and positive behavioural approaches

Warm, patient, and emotionally attuned caregiving style

Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with parents and professionals

Flexible, discreet, and able to maintain confidentiality

Previous experience in a live-in role preferred but not essential

Fluent English; additional languages are a plus
Schedule: 50 hours per week, 6 days per week (Time off during the child’s school hours)
